We collect the following personal information to facilitate the sale and pickup of your vehicle:

• Name
• Phone number
• Year, make, and model (YMM) of the car
• Condition of the vehicle (based on the questions you answer)
• Car location

This information is essential for generating an offer for your car and coordinating the pickup with the buyer’s tow truck driver. We do not collect or store email addresses, as we are not involved in data brokering, telemarketing, or email marketing. Our sole purpose is to facilitate the transaction between sellers and buyers.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your personal information for the following purposes:

• To calculate an offer for your vehicle.
• To communicate the offer and facilitate the sale.
• To coordinate the pickup of your vehicle by the buyer’s tow truck driver.
• To assist with any follow-up needed after the sale, such as issues with transferring vehicle ownership.

We do not use your personal information for any other purposes unless explicitly agreed upon or required by law.

3. How We Share Your Information

We only share your phone number in the following circumstances:

• With the buyer whose offer you accept, in order to facilitate vehicle pickup and payment.
• If you reject an offer and request a callback, we may share your phone number with up to three potential buyers for negotiation purposes.

No other third parties will have access to your phone number, and we strictly avoid telemarketing practices. Your information is never shared for marketing or data brokering purposes.

4. Retention of Your Information

We retain your personal information as long as necessary to:

• Facilitate the sale and pickup of your vehicle.
• Address any issues related to vehicle ownership transfer, which may arise up to one year after the transaction.

Once these purposes have been fulfilled, your data will be securely deleted from our system unless you request otherwise.

5. Right to Access and Correction

You have the right to access your personal information and request updates or corrections. If you wish to update any details, please contact us at support@eco-recycle.ca , and we will assist you in making the necessary changes.

6. Right to Be Forgotten

You have the right to request the deletion of your personal information at any time. To exercise this right, please email us at support@eco-recycle.ca , and we will manually remove your data from our system.

7. Data Security

We take the security of your personal information seriously. Your data is stored in a secure database, and we employ encryption and access control measures to protect it from unauthorized access. Only authorized personnel have access to your information, and we regularly review our security practices to maintain compliance with privacy regulations.

9. SMS Opt-In and Messaging

If you opt in to receive text messages from EcoRecycle, your phone number will be used to send you the messages you consented to receive, including vehicle offers, pickup coordination, and promotional updates, and may also be processed for analytics purposes as described below. You may receive between 1 and 5 SMS messages per vehicle transaction depending on activity (offers, appointment changes, reminders, and confirmations). Standard message and data rates may apply — check with your carrier for details about rates applicable to your plan. You may opt out at any time by replying STOP. 10. Mobile Number Sharing for Analytics and Compliance

Your phone number may be processed for the following limited purposes:

• Conversion Tracking and Analytics: Your phone number may be hashed and anonymized before being shared with Google Ads for conversion tracking and performance measurement purposes only. This allows us to understand which marketing channels drive vehicle sales. Your data is used exclusively for analytics and is never used to target you with additional advertising.
• Transaction Facilitation: Your phone number is shared with the Recycler whose offer you accept, solely to coordinate vehicle pickup and payment. If you reject an offer and request a callback, your number may be shared with up to three potential buyers for negotiation purposes only.

We do not sell SMS opt-in data to third parties. We do not share your mobile number with any third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. No personal information collected through SMS opt-in is used for purposes beyond those described in this policy.

11. Updates to This Privacy Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. Any updates will be posted on our website, and we encourage you to review this policy periodically.
